Volunteer Relations TeamVolunteer Position: National Volunteer Network Coordinator Role Description: Vibha National Volunteer Network (NVN) is a group of volunteers in cities where Vibha does not have an active Action Center. NVN was established in early 2011 and has 50+ volunteers in the group. The objective of establishing NVN was to create more awareness about Vibha's mission and vision across the United States and expand Vibha organically into more states. Our goal for the next year is to establish a strong presence from NVN volunteers on the national teams. NVN will play a critical role in the lateral growth of the organization. The NVN Coordinator's role is equivalent to that of an Action Center Coordinator and will be required to attend the quarterly ACC calls. The candidate will also be expected to attend the Annual Planning Meeting/Volunteer Conference, and build a growth strategy for NVN. Time Requirements: 8-10 hours per month Qualifications and Requirements:
Duration of the Role: Minimum 1 year (extendable to a maximum of 2 years) Volunteer Position: Chief Editor - Vibhascope, Monthly Volunteer Newsletter Role Description: The Vibhascope Editor will be responsible for planning, editing, compiling, and publishing the monthly newsletter. Articles for Vibhascope are contributed by different action centers and volunteers. The Editor will need to build a core Vibhascope team and ensure high quality content (event updates, volunteer recognition, success stories etc) gets published in the newsletter. The editor should have interests in writing and blogging. Time Requirements: 4-5 Hours per month Qualifications and Requirements: No specific skills requied. Responsibilities:
Duration of the Role: Minimum 1 year Volunteer Position: National Volunteer Communications Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities: The National Communications Coordinator will plan, coordinate, and publish all national volunteer communications. The candidate will be responsible to liaison with multiple National (Functional) Teams, Action Centers, and Volunteer Relations teams and identify communications' requirements. S/he will own the responsibility of drafting communication messages if the content is not available already. S/he will also be responsible to streamline National Communications and ensure that crisp and clear messages go out to the Vibha volunteer community. The objective of establishing this new role is to improve volunteer engagement across the board. Time Requirements: 5-7 Hours per month Qualifications and Requirements: No specific skills required. Duration of the Role: Minimum 1 year Patron Relations TeamVolunteer Position: Patron Relations Creative Editor Description: To help summarize the Monitoring reports for some of the Vibha Projects, in order for the reports to be sent out to Vibha donors in a readable, presentable format. Initially the focus will be on VBP projects. You will be receiving reports from the Projects team which have to be further reduced down to some 5-6 key pointers with the necessary information useful to our donors. Time Requirement: A maximum of 2 hours per Project Report. Varying from 2 hours to 10 hours per month. Qualifications and Requirements :

I.T. TeamVolunteer Role: Salesforce Administrator Role Description: Currently, our patron database is partially on Salesforce. In 2012, we will be moving all our patron information to Salesforce with the help of an external consultant. The volunteer will work with the consultant to ensure that our needs are met and the migration of all patron information is made to the Salesforce's Non-Profit pack. The volunteer will also be responsible for future additions and maintaince requests to the Salesforce infrastructure. Time Requirements: 1 hour per week Skill Set:
Duration of Role: Minimum 1 year Volunteer Role: National Website Administrator Role Description: The volunteer will administer the national website hosted on Joomla CMS. The volunteer will work on occasional updates to the website as well as oversee the migration of AC websites to the Joomla infrastructure. The volunteer will also be responsible for assisting ACs with their AC and event pages, training AC volunteers and maintaining required plugins and themes. Time Requirements: 2 hours a week during AC page migration; 1 hour a week otherwise Skill Set:
Duration of Role: Minimum 1 year Volunteer Role: IT Administrator Role Description: Deal with day-to-day IT help issues. The IT Help Desk is the single point of contact for all IT related issues. Most issues are of a minor nature - creating a new email account, help with a specific MediaWiki/Joomla editing feature etc. Such emails are of a sporadic nature - we typically get no more than 5-10 emails a week,sometimes none at all. Each issue typically takes only a few minutes to resolve. However, we need a single point of help for these issues. Time Requirements: 20mins - 1 hour a week Skill Set:
Duration of Role: Minimum 1 year Volunteer Role: Django Infrastructure Maintainer Role Description: A large part of Vibha's project infrastructure is run using the django framework. Recent additions to the infrastructure include the back-end for Adopt-A-Project. The volunteer will need to familiarize themselves with this infrastructure and help with the occasional modifications and feature requests. Time Requirements: 1 hour per week Skill Set:
